What a kundli is
A kundli is a picture of the sky at the moment of birth. It shows the ascendant, signs, houses and the positions of nine planets. This tool shows a North Indian style chart and the whole-sign house method.
What you need
An accurate birth date, time and city. If the birth time is unknown, the ascendant and nakshatra can change. In that case, treat a chart made from an estimated time as a hint only.
What dasha means
Vimshottari dasha is a traditional time cycle in which each planet has a long period. This tool shows the mahadasha and antardasha running at birth. Read it alongside the full chart.
Common questions
How are the ascendant and moon sign found?
The ascendant is the sign rising in the east at birth, found from birth time and place. The moon sign is the sign the Moon was in at that moment. Both are calculated in your browser.
Are my birth details sent to a server?
No. The calculation runs in your browser. Birth date, time, city and name are not sent to our server.
How accurate is the calculation?
It is adequate for a general panchang and chart but not as precise as a professional ephemeris. A wrong birth time can change the ascendant and nakshatra.
Panchang and planet positions use standard astronomical formulas. Astrological meanings come from tradition. Consult a professional for big decisions.
